Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13 and struggled with the habit for 27 years, alongside other addictions, including alcohol, masturbation, and anger issues.
The 40-year-old made the disclosure while sharing her testimony during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, describing her struggles as the result of “demonic oppression.”
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too. I have known myself to have sexual intercourse in the dream ever since I was a child,” Dikeh said, explaining that her early exposure to smoking came from her father. She used the moment to advise parents against exposing children to harmful habits.
The actress further revealed that she recently experienced healing from what she described as “demonic anger,” a condition that had negatively impacted her relationships and personal life.
Tonto Dikeh credited her freedom from these struggles to spiritual growth and divine intervention, noting that improvements in her faith life marked the turning point.
Following her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for the actress, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and describing her as “a voice in her generation.”
Her story has resonated widely, highlighting the challenges of addiction and the role of faith in personal transformation.
