Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has officially renounced the “King” title she previously adopted, describing the move as a step taken in obedience to spiritual guidance.
In a statement shared via her social media platforms, the actress declared that she will no longer be addressed as “King Tonto Dikeh.” Instead, she said she prefers to be called Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, Tonto Dikeh, Aunty Tonto, or Big T.
According to her, the decision aligns with what she described as divine instruction and marks a new season in her personal and spiritual life.
“In obedience to the Holy Spirit, I make this declaration,” she wrote. “It gladdens my heart that I can do this on the first day of March; it aligns with the prophecy of God upon my life.”
Dikeh stated that the change symbolizes a transition from her past into what she considers a renewed path guided by faith.
“In alignment with the will and purpose of God upon my life, I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh,” she added. “You can call me the woman of God, Evangelist Tonto, Tonto Dikeh, Aunty Tonto, or Big T… but I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto.”
The announcement signals a rebranding moment for the actress, who has in recent years spoken openly about her spiritual growth and evolving priorities.
While she did not outline specific future plans tied to the new title, Dikeh’s declaration underscores a shift she says reflects her commitment to her faith and a new chapter in her life and career.
