Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has issued a firm message ahead of the New Year, making it clear that she will be more deliberate about the brands and individuals she chooses to support.
In a statement shared across her social media platforms, the actress stressed that respect remains a core requirement in all her professional and personal engagements. She said she would no longer associate with or promote anyone who shows hostility or disrespect toward her, her faith, or her pastor.
Dikeh noted that she is unwilling to use her influence to build brands that do not value, protect, or honour her as a person or as a professional. According to her, mutual respect must come before any form of collaboration.
She also addressed event invitations and promotional requests, reminding brands and individuals to respect her boundaries. The actress stated that appearance fees should always be discussed with her management before invitations are extended, adding that she does not handle business matters personally.
While acknowledging that close personal relationships are rare exceptions, Dikeh maintained that she does not make casual appearances, even for acquaintances, without clearly defined professional terms.
Her message serves as both a warning and a guide to those seeking her endorsement, as she urged potential partners to reflect on whether they have genuinely supported her before reaching out.
With the declaration, Tonto Dikeh joins a growing number of public figures emphasizing professionalism, personal values, and clear boundaries in brand and media engagements.
