Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has donated laptops to students at JSS Durumi II, the school where she recently held a deliverance and prayer outreach.
The donation was carried out through The Tonto Dikeh Foundation, which is providing 30 laptops to three schools as part of the actress’ ongoing evangelism outreach initiative.
Dikeh announced the development on her Instagram page, revealing that the first batch of 10 laptops has already been delivered to JSS Durumi II, marking the beginning of the distribution exercise.
According to the actress, the programme is designed to equip students with digital tools that will enhance their learning experience and improve their access to technology.
She noted that access to computers plays a key role in modern education, allowing students to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom and develop essential technology skills.
“In today’s world, digital literacy is no longer optional; it is essential,” she said, explaining that providing laptops will help students conduct research, explore new ideas, and participate more effectively in a global learning environment.
Dikeh added that the initiative is also intended to help bridge the digital divide that often limits opportunities for students who lack access to technological resources.
She said empowering schools with digital tools will encourage creativity, improve academic engagement, and prepare young people for opportunities in higher education and the modern workforce.
The actress emphasized that the project goes beyond simply donating devices, describing it as an effort to build confidence among students and expose them to a future driven by innovation and technology.
The remaining laptops are expected to be distributed to two other schools as part of the outreach programme.
