Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared an emotional testimony, attributing the resolution of her long-standing feud with ex-husband Olakunle Churchill to the heartfelt prayer of their 10-year-old son, King André.
Speaking at Streams of Joy International, Dikeh recounted how her son prayed for the release of his passport, which had been held by Churchill amid their public disagreements. Shortly after the prayer, she said Churchill reached out to return the documents, prompting a turning point in their relationship.
“I’m giving this testimony on behalf of a 10-year-old boy because I am a beneficiary of a sincere prayer of a 10-year-old,” Dikeh said. She explained how she brought her son’s prayer request to the altar during a 21-day church fast and was moved by his request for the embassy to release his passport—unaware that it was actually with his father.
The actress detailed how the event led her to reflect on her own bitterness and ultimately forgive Churchill. “10 years of war, 10 years of public shame, 10 years without a boy knowing his father, 10 years of bitterness, 10 years of lack of love—and everything just dissolved in front of my child,” she said, describing the moment as life-changing.
Dikeh emphasised that her reconciliation with Churchill represents a transformation in her perspective and faith. She praised God for restoring peace and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to address her ex-husband respectfully.
“The biggest testimony in this life is the testimony of a changed person,” she said. “I have peace that doesn’t even make sense. But God gave me 10 years in one day. I just want to give glory to God.”
Her story highlights the power of forgiveness and the unexpected ways children can influence healing in family conflicts, marking a poignant end to a decade-long public feud in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
