The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has categorically denied reports claiming he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
In a statement signed by his media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo dismissed the circulating publication as false, mischievous, and a calculated attempt by detractors to tarnish his hard-earned reputation and undermine his ongoing efforts to protect national assets in the Niger Delta.
“We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that High Chief Ekpemupolo neither authored nor sanctioned the said publication. It is the handiwork of desperate individuals seeking to discredit him because of his unwavering commitment to ending illegal crude oil activities and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta,” the statement reads in part.
Tompolo reiterated that he has no involvement whatsoever in matters concerning Nnamdi Kanu or any related political agitation. He emphasized that his primary focus remains on supporting the Federal Government’s drive to secure the nation’s oil infrastructure and ensure energy stability.
Reaffirming his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tompolo, through his spokesperson, expressed unflinching support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, commending the administration’s efforts to promote national unity, economic growth, and security.
He also pledged his continued support for the President’s second-term ambition.
The statement urged the Federal Government, media organizations, and the general public to disregard the baseless report in its entirety, stressing that it does not represent Tompolo’s position, views, or any official communication from Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
“Those behind this fabricated story have failed and will continue to fail. High Chief Tompolo remains resolute in his mission to eradicate oil theft and safeguard Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure,” the statement concluded.
