Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare has opened up on why he decided to join Wolverhampton Wanderers despite interest from other top European sides.
The 24-year-old completed a deadline day move from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk to Molineux, fulfilling his long-held ambition of playing in the Premier League.
Arokodare made his debut for Wolves in their clash against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Speaking to Belgian outlet HLN, the forward revealed that the decision was straightforward once Wolves came calling:
“When Wolverhampton became concrete, I didn’t hesitate for a second. No one had to convince me. Everyone also knew I absolutely wanted to go to the Premier League.”
The Super Eagles striker will now look to establish himself under manager Vitor Pereira as Wolves aim for a strong season.
