
Nigeria’s sprint queen, Tobi Amusan, clinched silver in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Championships on Monday.
The 28-year-old clocked a brilliant 12.29 seconds to secure second place in a fiercely contested race.
Earlier in the day, Amusan had impressed in the semifinals, winning her heat in 12.36 seconds to book her place in the final.
She finished ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who placed third and fourth respectively.
This marks another major achievement for Amusan, who continues to solidify her status as one of the world’s leading hurdlers.
