Afrobeats powerhouse Tiwa Savage has strongly rejected accusations that she sabotages other female artists in the music industry.
During a recent appearance on the Offair Show, the singer addressed ongoing rumors suggesting she blocks fellow female performers from securing bookings or opportunities. Tiwa urged anyone with such claims to come forward with names and evidence rather than spreading hearsay.
“If you’ve heard from anybody that I tried to block your bag, mention names. Maybe the promoters are lying and using me. Maybe they don’t want to book three, four girls. So, they claim I am the one blocking others,” she said.
The allegations against Tiwa Savage date back several years when Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani accused her of indirectly preventing her from performing at multiple shows. However, Tiwa insists these claims are unfounded and may be a result of promoters limiting opportunities for multiple female acts.
Tiwa’s response highlights the ongoing challenges female artists face in the industry and calls for transparency in addressing conflicts.
