Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has shut down swirling rumors suggesting she was once romantically involved with fellow music star Wizkid.
The speculation emerged after Savage disclosed in a recent interview that she had previously dated a well-known public figure. She explained that the relationship was intentionally kept away from the spotlight because her partner valued discretion, even though he maintained a flirtatious public image with other women.
Her comments quickly set social media abuzz, with many fans linking her words to Wizkid, following long-standing rumors of a romance between the two artists.
However, in a follow-up interview on The Breakfast Club, the singer firmly debunked the claims. She emphasized that while she holds “love and respect” for Wizkid, he was not the individual she referenced.
“Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him but he isn’t the one I was referring to. I said the person was a public figure but it’s not him,” Savage clarified.
The mother of one chose not to reveal the identity of the celebrity she dated, leaving fans speculating but with no confirmation.
