O’tega Ogra, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Digital Engagement, Strategy, and New Media, has threatened to take legal action against Timi Dakolo following the singer’s recent social media outburst.
Earlier, Dakolo had called out Ogra on X (formerly Twitter), accusing the presidential aide of ignoring his calls after completing a job for him. The post quickly drew public attention, with many demanding clarity from both sides.
Responding via his own X account, Ogra cautioned Dakolo against further public comments, warning that any additional attempts to “personalise” what he termed an institutional issue would be met with legal and professional measures.
“I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits,” Ogra wrote.
“Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress.”
Ogra did not provide further details on the nature of the dispute, while Dakolo has yet to issue a follow-up statement.
The exchange has since sparked debate on social media, with users divided over whether Dakolo’s initial post was justified or premature.
