President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday arrived in Owerri, Imo State, for a one-day working visit, touching down at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport at exactly 12:52 p.m.
The President was received by Governor Hope Uzodimma, top government officials, and a jubilant crowd of residents who thronged the airport to welcome him.
During the visit, President Tinubu is expected to commission several landmark projects executed by the Uzodimma administration, including the reconstructed 60-kilometer dual carriage Owerri–Mbaise–Umuahia Federal Road and the Assumpta Flyover.
He will also inaugurate the state’s newest centerpiece, the 6,000-capacity Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, a world-class facility designed to boost tourism, investment, and socio-economic activities in the region.
Rounding off his engagements, President Tinubu will headline the book presentation and public unveiling of “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria,” Governor Uzodimma’s documentation of Nigeria’s democratic strides and the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s achievements over the last ten years.
The visit is viewed as both a celebration of Imo’s developmental strides under Uzodimma and a reaffirmation of the Tinubu administration’s support for infrastructure-led growth across Nigeria.
