President Bola Tinubu has praised his Special Adviser on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hadiza Bala-Usman, for her outstanding contributions to public service as she marks her 50th birthday on January 2, 2026.
In a statement issued by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Bala-Usman as a committed patriot whose nearly three decades in public service exemplify sacrifice, diligence and unwavering dedication to national development.
Tinubu said Bala-Usman’s career offers enduring lessons in purpose-driven leadership, recalling her early years at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, where she demonstrated clarity of vision and a firm grasp of the structural reforms required to stimulate economic growth.
He highlighted her leadership roles at the Abuja Enterprise Agency and the Nigerian Ports Authority, noting that she broke barriers, strengthened accountability, and raised operational standards in public administration.
The President also commended her political contributions, particularly her role in party organisation and institutional development within the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he said helped entrench democratic values, organisational effectiveness and internal discipline.
“In her current role as Special Adviser and Head of the CRDCU, Hadiza continues to distinguish herself as an astute public administrator through discipline, clear thinking and a strong focus on results,” Tinubu said.
He added that her work has helped strengthen governance frameworks, promote evidence-based performance tracking, and accelerate the delivery of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I thank her for her single-minded commitment to our administration and to national service. I pray for strength, wisdom, good health and grace for her to remain an inspiration to women, young people and emerging leaders across the country as she celebrates this landmark birthday,” the President stated.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu also congratulated Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who turned 44 on January 1, 2026.
Describing Ododo as one of Nigeria’s youngest governors, Tinubu noted his background as an accountant and former Auditor-General for Local Governments in Kogi State before his election in 2023.
The President commended the governor for pursuing people-centred policies and urged him to deepen the reach of his development initiatives, while wishing him a happy birthday and a prosperous New Year.
