The President is attending the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The summit, scheduled for early January, is one of the world’s leading forums on sustainability, climate action, and economic resilience.
ADSW convenes global leaders from government, business, finance, and civil society to promote innovation, mobilise investment and build partnerships addressing pressing global challenges.
The 2026 edition, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”, will focus on the intersection of innovation, finance, and human capital in driving sustainable and inclusive growth. Key areas include renewable energy, circular economy practices, water security, and green hydrogen.
Organised by Masdar under the patronage of the UAE President, the event is expected to attract more than 50,000 participants from over 175 countries. Activities will take place from January 11 to 17, primarily at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and Masdar City.
During the summit, President Tinubu will engage with global leaders and investors on issues central to Nigeria’s development agenda, including energy transition, climate finance, infrastructure development, and economic diversification.
According to a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu will return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
