Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nasir Bala Aminu, popularly known as Ja’oji, has resigned from his position ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ja’oji, who hails from Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State, said his resignation was in compliance with the President’s directive requiring all political appointees seeking elective office in 2027 to step down by March 31, 2026.
In a statement issued in Kano, he expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, noting that his appointments were driven by the administration’s commitment to youth development.
He said the confidence reposed in him by the President reflects a broader effort to empower young Nigerians and promote leadership development.
Ja’oji pledged his continued readiness to serve the country in any capacity, adding that Tinubu’s focus on youth advancement remains a key pillar of the administration.
He also commended the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing optimism that ongoing policies and programmes would yield greater results if the President secures a second term in 2027.
His resignation signals his intention to contest for an elective position, with supporters expressing confidence in his ambition and readiness for public office.
