Actor and filmmaker Timini Egbuson has shared a reflective take on love and relationships, revealing how his views have evolved over time.
Speaking in a recent interview with Jay On-Air TV, the Nollywood star said that while financial stability remains important, he has come to understand that it is only one aspect of a healthy relationship. According to Egbuson, emotional availability and effective communication are equally essential.
“I still think money is important, but what I realise now is that money is just one out of many things that matter. If all you can bring to a relationship is money, then you’re a very shallow man,” he said during the interview.
Egbuson explained that his perspective is shaped by personal experience, admitting that communication played a major role in the breakdown of a previous relationship. He noted that at the time, his demanding schedule and self-focused mindset prevented him from being fully present.
The actor added that maturity and self-awareness have since changed his approach to love. He said he now places greater value on showing up emotionally and maintaining open communication.
Egbuson’s comments have resonated with fans online, sparking conversations about modern relationships and the balance between material success and emotional connection.
