Popular Nigerian TikTok content creator Peller has revealed that actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele played a key role in supporting him during his time in detention late last year.
Peller was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged intentional car accident in Lagos State. In response to the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) ordered his arrest and prosecution on allegations of reckless driving.
Speaking at the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, the TikTok star recounted his encounter with Funke Akindele and publicly acknowledged her assistance during that difficult period.
According to Peller, the actress intervened while he was in custody and helped facilitate his release. He expressed gratitude for her gesture, describing it as a life-changing act of kindness.
While exchanging greetings with Akindele at the event, Peller openly credited her for standing by him during his legal troubles, noting that her support came at a critical moment.
The revelation has since drawn attention online, with many fans praising the actress for offering help behind the scenes and commending the importance of support within the entertainment community.
