Popular TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, has asked his fans for opinions on whether he should start smoking before going live on social media.
The 20-year-old shared the discussion during a livestream, revealing that singer and fellow content creator Carter Efe allegedly advised him to smoke to boost his energy levels during streams.
“Carterefe told me to start smoking so that I can get high energy. He told me he and his crew smoke before going on livestreams,” Peller said.
Most of Peller’s fans responded by warning against smoking, citing health risks and the potential for addiction. As of now, it remains unclear whether Peller will follow Efe’s advice or heed his fans’ cautions.
Carter Efe has neither confirmed nor denied the claims. The two creators are known to be close, and earlier this year, a Twitch subathon hosted by Efe at Peller’s Lagos studio went viral. During that stream, Carter Efe promised to destroy studio equipment as subscription milestones were hit, resulting in reportedly ₦8 million worth of damages, including a TV, chairs, and frames.
The recent livestream has reignited discussions about the influence of social media peers on young content creators and the balance between performance and personal health.
