TikTok user identified as Debrakin has accused live band performer Segun Johnson of abruptly ending their long-term relationship after urging her to relocate to Lagos.
In a series of posts shared on TikTok, Debrakin detailed what she described as a 13-year relationship marked by periods of separation and reconciliation. She said the relationship continued even after she relocated to the United Kingdom, where they later reconnected when the singer visited.
According to her, Johnson encouraged her to return to Nigeria, assuring her of support and urging her to move back to Lagos. She said she initially hesitated, preferring to remain financially independent, but eventually agreed, believing the move signaled a step toward a more serious commitment.
Debrakin claimed she gave up a new job opportunity in the UK and returned to Lagos late last year. However, she alleged that events took an unexpected turn shortly after her arrival.
She recounted that after celebrating the singer’s birthday together, he travelled back to the UK and later returned with a gift she suspected was from another woman. After confronting him, she said tensions grew between them.
The situation, she claimed, escalated when Johnson later cancelled plans to meet and instead sent her a voice note ending the relationship.
Debrakin said sharing her experience publicly was part of her healing process, noting that speaking out helped her move on rather than return to what she described as an unhealthy situation.
Efforts to reach Johnson for comment were unsuccessful, as calls and messages sent to him were not answered as of the time of filing this report.
