Former France forward Thierry Henry has challenged Arsenal’s players to be “honest” with themselves regarding their prospects of lifting the Premier League trophy this season.
Henry shared his thoughts during an interview after watching his old club record a dominant 4-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners, while Eberechi Eze stole the spotlight with a remarkable hat-trick. Richarlison’s powerful strike from distance proved to be only a consolation for Spurs.
Henry stated, “At some point, you have to embrace it. People are talking about the process. It’s not believing in the process anymore. It’s happening. You have to be honest. We put ourselves in the situation where we believe we have the best squad. Did we mention the players that were not playing? Look at how we played. You’re not complaining anymore about one or two. So you need to make sure that you can win the league. I’m not saying they are going to win it but you need to act like you are the favourite.”
His comments highlight growing expectations around Arsenal’s title push, especially with their current form, squad depth, and strong positioning in the Premier League table. Henry’s remarks add further fuel to discussions among fans, pundits, and analysts about whether Arsenal can finally secure the championship after years of rebuilding.
