Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has singled out two Liverpool players for special praise after their narrow victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Liverpool secured a 1-0 win at the San Siro, with Dominik Szoboszlai converting a second-half penalty that proved decisive. The result boosted the Reds’ standing as they continue their push in the competition.
Speaking during his post-match analysis, Henry commended the performances of Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, describing both midfielders as outstanding and influential in Liverpool’s display against the Italian giants.
“For me it was not a penalty but you still need have to bury it and Szoboszlai did that,” Henry said on CBS Sports.
“He’s been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, I have to say. He was magnificent and Mac Allister was also very good.
“I liked the way Liverpool played and how Arne Slot stopped Inter from playing, his tactics were on point.”
Following the victory, Liverpool moved into eighth position on the Champions League standings after six matches, keeping their hopes of progression firmly alive.
