The Bride is a Gothic Romance film directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal that combines The Bride of Frankenstein with Bonnie and Clyde.
Set in the 1930s, the movie follows a murdered woman who is resurrected. Dr Euphronious wants her to become the companion to Frankenstein’s monster. He does not foresee what happens next.
Reviews have been mixed (61 per cent critic rating and 70 per cent audience score). Some critics loved the chaotic plot and electrifying performances.
