Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has revealed that he is currently practicing celibacy.
The award-winning cinematographer made the disclosure in a post on his X handle, stating that abstaining from sex has had a positive impact on his life.
“Since I took my oath of celibacy half of my problems were solved,” Omori wrote.
His remark quickly attracted mixed reactions online, with some users doubting the sincerity of his claim while others expressed interest in trying celibacy themselves, citing the supposed benefits.
This revelation comes weeks after Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage disclosed that she has also been celibate for three years. Savage explained that her decision stemmed from being single, adding that she rarely feels the urge for intimacy outside of a committed relationship.
Omori, known for directing some of Nigeria’s most iconic music videos, has now joined a growing list of entertainers opening up about personal lifestyle choices that shape their well-being.
