Nollywood actress and producer Teniola Aladese has opened up about the emotional struggle she faced after the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend.
In an interview on WithChude, Aladese revealed that her ex passed away just months after their breakup, leaving her grappling with anger and a profound sense of loss. Known for her role in The Christmas in Lagos, she questioned God’s purpose behind his untimely death, reflecting on his talent, ambitions, and plans.
“He passed a couple of months after we broke up and was even dating someone else at the time. We remained friends, but his death was a huge blow, for me, for his friends, and for his family. I don’t even want to imagine how his mum copes,” Aladese said.
The actress admitted that it took her time to find peace, eventually turning to faith for solace. “I console myself by believing that he was here for a purpose and left a lasting impact. All of us who knew him remember him for the kind and talented person he was,” she added.
Aladese’s candid reflections shed light on the complexities of grief, highlighting the journey of reconciling loss with faith and the importance of cherishing the legacies of loved ones.
