It’s now official that teachers across Kenya will transition to the state-run medical cover under the Social Health
Authority (SHA). This follows a new agreement between teachers’ unions, the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) and SHA.
However, the shift is already facing resistance with primary school heads accusing their representatives of endorsing the move without proper consultations.
