American pop superstar Taylor Swift has put to rest speculation that she plans to retire from music after her upcoming marriage to NFL player Travis Kelce.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Radio 2, the Life of a Showgirl singer addressed circulating rumors suggesting she might leave the spotlight once she ties the knot.
Swift, 35, firmly rejected the claims, explaining that marriage has nothing to do with giving up one’s career. She emphasized that her fiancé fully supports her creative journey and understands how much fulfillment she finds in music.
“It’s not why people get married — so they can quit their job,” she said. “I love the person I’m with because he loves what I do and how much I’m fulfilled by making art and music.”
The Grammy-winning artist and the Kansas City Chiefs star got engaged in August 2025, two years after they began dating in the summer of 2023.
Fans had speculated about Swift’s future following the engagement announcement, but her recent comments make it clear that she intends to continue her music career — with unwavering passion and support from her partner.
