Big Brother Naija star Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has expressed disappointment over the renewed impeachment process against Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, saying the ongoing political turmoil is preventing meaningful progress in the state.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Tacha described the situation as disheartening, noting that Rivers State continues to be associated with political crises rather than development milestones.
The reality TV star, who grew up in Rivers State, compared the situation with Lagos, arguing that despite its challenges, Lagos continues to record visible progress.
According to her, the repeated political conflicts in Rivers State have created an atmosphere of uncertainty that discourages growth, investment, and long-term planning.
Tacha lamented that for years, headlines about Rivers State have largely focused on power struggles and instability, rather than infrastructure, economic growth, or social advancement.
She questioned how businesses and investors are able to operate under such conditions, adding that the absence of positive development stories has become troubling.
The BBNaija alum further warned that the ongoing political tension could cost the state several more years of progress, suggesting that the current climate may stall meaningful development until the next election cycle.
Calling for unity, Tacha urged residents of Rivers State to rise above political divisions and collectively address the issues holding the state back.
She concluded by expressing hope that the people of Rivers State would eventually come together to demand stability, accountability, and genuine development for the future of the state.
