Swansea City sealed their spot in the Carabao Cup fourth round after overturning a two-goal deficit to defeat Nottingham Forest 3-2 on Wednesday night.
Igor Jesus struck twice to hand Forest a commanding lead, but the game swung in Swansea’s favour during a thrilling second half. Cameron Burgess started the fightback with a header in the 70th minute before substitute Zan Vipotnik forced an equaliser in stoppage time.
Just when a penalty shoot-out appeared inevitable, Burgess struck again four minutes later to complete the turnaround and send the Welsh club through.
Swansea now join Brentford, Crystal Palace and Grimsby Town in the fourth round. The remaining third-round fixtures will be played on Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24.
