The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on Egypt in an international friendly ahead of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, December 14, as both teams intensify preparations for the continental tournament.
Nigeria is expected to open their AFCON training camp four days before the friendly, as head coach and technical crew continue to fine-tune tactics and assess players’ fitness levels.
Meanwhile, Egypt will feature in a four-nation tournament in Dubai next month — the Dubai International Championship — alongside Uzbekistan, Iran, and Cape Verde, as part of their AFCON build-up.
At the upcoming tournament, Nigeria will compete in Group C alongside Uganda, Tunisia, and Tanzania, while Egypt have been drawn in Group B with South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
