Nigeria recently faced Rwanda and South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, defeating the Amavubi 1-0 in Uyo before holding Bafana Bafana to a 1-1 draw in Bloemfontein.
Globally, European champions Spain overtook Argentina to claim the number-one spot, ending the Albiceleste’s two-year reign. Slovakia were the biggest climbers, moving up 10 places.
