Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is expected to submit his final 24-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday, December 11.
Reports indicate that Chelle has already forwarded a provisional squad list to CAF, from which the final selection will be made. CAF regulations require all participating nations to submit their definitive squad lists at least 10 days before the tournament begins.
Nigeria has been placed in Group C for the continental showpiece, alongside Tanzania’s Taifa Stars, Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, and the Cranes of Uganda.
The three-time African champions will kick off their campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23, in Fez, as they aim for another strong outing at Africa’s premier football competition.
