The Super Eagles of Nigeria have officially transitioned to their tournament headquarters in Fès, Morocco, following the conclusion of their five-day training camp in Cairo.1 Due to a late arrival on Thursday evening, the coaching staff opted to cancel the initial 6:00 pm training session planned for the day of arrival.
Instead, head coach Éric Chelle has scheduled a double training session for Friday, December 19, 2025, to ensure the squad is fully acclimated to the Moroccan conditions ahead of the tournament’s kickoff this weekend.3
The Nigerian contingent, which now includes a full house of 28 players following the Wednesday arrivals of Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon, has checked into the five-star Hotel Saharai. This facility will serve as the team’s base for the duration of the group phase.
Unlike their Group C opponents, Nigeria will enjoy a significant logistical advantage, as all three of their preliminary matches are scheduled to take place at the Grand Stade de Fès, eliminating the need for inter-city travel during the first round.
Super Eagles Group C Schedule (Fès)

Nigeria enters the competition seeking their fourth continental title, looking to improve on their runner-up finish at the 2023 edition in Ivory Coast. While the training camp in Egypt concluded with a narrow 2–1 friendly loss to the Pharaohs, the arrival of star striker Osimhen—who missed the friendly due to club commitments—is expected to sharpen the team’s offensive edge as they prepare for the “Taifa Stars” of Tanzania in four days.
