The Super Eagles on Tuesday refused to train in protest over unpaid bonuses spanning two years.
According to reports, the players informed head coach Eric Chelle that they would not participate in training until the outstanding payments were settled.
The unpaid bonuses reportedly cover both Nigeria’s qualifying campaigns for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team had held their first training session in Rabat, Morocco, on Monday ahead of the World Cup playoffs, and their second session was scheduled for later on Tuesday. A total of 23 players are currently in camp at the Rive Hotel base in Rabat.
