The Super Eagles camp in Cairo, Egypt, is steadily gaining momentum as the team prepares for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The total number of players currently assembled has risen to ten, with six new arrivals checking in overnight.
The latest players to join the camp are: Semi Ajayi (Defender), Ademola Lookman (Forward), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Defender), Igho Ogbu (Defender), Amas Obasogie (Goalkeeper), Tochukwu Nnadi (Midfielder).
These six players have linked up with the initial quartet who were the first to arrive: Francis Uzoho (Goalkeeper), Stanley Nwabali (Goalkeeper), Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Midfielder), Ebenezer Akinsanmiro (Midfielder).
With the arrival of more players, the Super Eagles are scheduled to hold their first official training session tonight as they commence final preparations under Head Coach Eric Chelle.
The team will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in a high-profile international practice friendly match at the Cairo International Stadium on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM Nigerian Time (WAT).
With 10 players in camp, eighteen players are still expected to join to complete the 28-man squad. The remaining players include:
