Sunshine Queens head coach, Rafiu Oseni, has expressed confidence in his team’s chances of clinching promotion to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) next season.
The Akure-based side will compete with 16 other clubs for promotion, with the winners of each group earning an automatic NWFL ticket.
Sunshine Queens have been drawn in Group A2 alongside Fortress Ladies, Unification FC, and Kwara Ladies.
“We are not going to underrate any team; rather, we are going to work very hard to get the job done by ensuring that the players stick to instructions and play according to the philosophy of the team,” Oseni told Sporting Hope.
The NWFL Championship will run from September 11 to 21, 2025, in Abia State.
