Eseoghene Atirene, professionally known as Sucee, is emerging as a dynamic force in African music.
Born in Lagos and raised in Amuwo Odofin with Delta roots, Sucee describes himself as a “fuss rapper,” blending multiple musical styles into a distinctive, cohesive sound.
He coins his style Afro-Urban Music, a personal take on Afro-fusion that merges R&B, hip-hop, and other genres to craft a sound that is uniquely his. “We have always been in a fusion era from the 2000s.
Urban music is the primary blend of perfection, mixing RnB and Hip-Hop, with other genres secondary-placed to produce a creative musical art,” Sucee explains.
Drawing inspiration from international artists like Chris Brown and Tory Lanez, Sucee’s music is fluid, charismatic, and emotionally charged. He emphasizes that while his sound cannot be copied, it can be studied, reflecting the intentional depth of his craft.
Despite his quiet demeanor offstage, Sucee’s vision is ambitious and uncompromising. “I want to be the greatest Urban Rapper ever in Africa,” he declares, signaling a clear mission to redefine the continent’s urban music scene.
As he continues to push creative boundaries, Sucee’s Afro-Urban style positions him as one of Nigeria’s most exciting emerging artists, set to make waves across Africa and beyond.
