Nigerian artist Spyro has called on citizens and public figures to take a stand against what he describes as growing foreign interference and external threats to the country’s stability.
In a passionate message shared on his Instagram page, the “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker warned that Nigeria must not depend on outside help, insisting that no foreign power has the nation’s best interests at heart.
Spyro cautioned that the current period is too critical for silence, urging celebrities, religious leaders, and business owners to use their platforms to hold the government accountable and demand proactive measures.
“This is not the time for anyone with a platform to keep quiet,” Spyro wrote. “No one is coming to save us, they are only coming to kill, steal, and destroy.”
The singer stressed that instability or war would affect every Nigerian, regardless of social status, noting that entertainment, religion, and business would all suffer if the nation descended into chaos.
He further reminded influencers that their platforms depend on the people, encouraging them to use their voices while they still have the chance.
“Without the people, there’s no platform or influence,” he added, urging Nigerians to stay alert and united in safeguarding the country’s peace.
Spyro’s post has sparked conversations online about civic responsibility and the role of public figures in addressing national issues.
