Streaming platform Spotify has unveiled its list of Top Afrobeats Artists for 2025, and Nigerian stars dominate the rankings.
Leading the chart is Burna Boy, followed by Rema in second place and Wizkid in third. Asake and Ayra Starr, Roc Nation’s newest signee, round out the top five.
Notably, Davido, often mentioned alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy as part of Afrobeats’ “Big 3”, did not feature in the rankings, sparking debate among fans.
Alongside the artist list, Spotify also revealed the countries with the highest Afrobeats consumption this year. The United States topped the chart, followed by Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Nigeria.
The report highlights Afrobeats’ continued global rise, with Nigerian acts at the forefront of the genre’s influence and reach.
