The captain of Sporting Lagos, Abdulraheem Suleiman, has declared that the squad will return for the second half of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season with renewed vigor and improved form. The Lagos-based outfit concluded the initial phase of the 2025/2026 campaign in a commanding position, securing four victories, one draw, and two losses across their first seven fixtures.

Suleiman emphasized that the team remains fully focused on their primary objective: returning to the top flight of Nigerian football. “We hope to get back stronger in 2026 after our performance in 2025, hopefully we will get the promotion ticket,” Suleiman stated, reflecting the high spirits within the camp as they look to build on their status as table-toppers.
