Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffery Butter has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the upcoming 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Speaking at a pre-season tournament in Ogun State, Butter said the players have shown remarkable improvement during training and tune-up matches.
“I think we’re ready. We’ve shown that we have done a lot of work in the last six or seven weeks,” he told reporters. “These performances and results are a testament to it.”
Sporting Lagos will begin their campaign with a clash against Osun United in the opening fixture.
The 2025/26 NNL season is set to commence on Saturday, November 8.
