The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has confirmed the draw for the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals.
Barcelona, the holders, will face Athletic Club, while Real Madrid take on city rivals Atletico Madrid.
The four-team mini-tournament will be staged in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between 7 and 11 January, with matches set for the King Abdullah Sports City, now a regular venue for Spanish football.
Barcelona lifted last season’s trophy after thrashing Real Madrid 5-2 in the final, completing their historic Treble under Hansi Flick.
The revamped format brings together LaLiga’s winners and runners-up along with the Copa del Rey finalists.
