Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of singer Davido’s first child, Imade, has publicly appealed to fans to stop addressing her as the musician’s wife.
In a video shared on her Snapchat page, Momodu expressed concern that despite her long-standing separation from Davido, who is now married, some members of the public still refer to her as his spouse.
She stressed that such labels are inaccurate and disrespectful, noting that everyone involved has moved on with their lives. According to her, it is important for fans to respect personal choices, boundaries, and existing marriages.
Recalling a recent encounter, Momodu said she was taken aback when a content creator referred to her as “OBO’s wife,” a title she firmly rejected. She clarified that while she remains the mother of Davido’s first child, she is not married to the singer.
Momodu also reiterated her desire for privacy, explaining that she is focused on her personal life and would prefer not to be defined by a past relationship.
Calling for understanding, she urged the public to allow her and others involved to move forward peacefully, adding that everyone is now settled and living their respective lives.
