Popular Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, professionally known as Waje, has confirmed that she is engaged.
The 45-year-old music star shared the news during a recent interview with Hip TV Lagos, stating simply, “I am actually engaged,” without disclosing further details about her fiancé.
While her partner remains unknown, Waje has previously said in interviews that she would not marry an unsuccessful man, citing her age as a factor in her approach to relationships.
In a candid discussion on The Honest Bunch podcast, Waje also opened up about her past, revealing that the father of her daughter denied responsibility after getting her pregnant as a teenager. She explained that he later attempted to apologize but never assumed responsibility for their child, despite her agreeing to a DNA test which he failed to attend.
