ODM leaders, including deputy party leader Godfrey Osotsi, Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Siaya Governor James Orengo, have publicly clashed with party chairperson Gladys Wanga, accusing her of attempting to hand the party over to President William Ruto.
The leaders insist that ODM is not for sale, vowing to block any political partnership unless it is endorsed by a majority of party members ahead of the 2027 general election.
Governor Wanga, however, has dismissed claims that she is negotiating to surrender the party to outside interests, while not ruling out dialogue. She maintains that ODM will not enter into any arrangement that leaves it disadvantaged.
