Former Nigeria international Samson Siasia has urged head coach Eric Chelle to fully utilise Ademola Lookman’s set-piece expertise and Tolu Arokodare’s strength when the Super Eagles face South Africa in Tuesday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Nigeria boosted their qualification hopes with a narrow 1-0 victory over Rwanda on Saturday, secured by Arokodare’s 51st-minute strike. A win in Bloemfontein would cut Bafana Bafana’s lead to three points.
“We need to keep the ball, win free-kicks, and allow players like Lookman to make the difference,” Siasia told newsmen.
“Arokodare can also be important in holding up play and creating chances. Facing Nigeria has never been easy for South Africa, but we must have a clear plan.”
