There is a possibility that several members of parliament elected on the ODM ticket may fail to defend their seats under the party in the next general election.
Suba South MP Karoli Omondi has openly declared that he will not seek re-election on the ODM ticket, arguing that the party’s standing has significantly weakened.
Omondi, who previously served as chief of staff in Raila Odinga’s office during his tenure as prime minister, maintains that ODM is poised to lose even more ground.
These developments come amid sustained internal wrangles within the party, pitting a faction led by Secretary General Edwin Sifuna against leaders in the party aligned with President William Ruto.
