Nollywood actor and filmmaker Segun Ogungbe has addressed rumours surrounding his personal life, dismissing claims that his wife and the mother of one of his children were once friends.
Speaking during a recent programme appearance, the actor clarified that his wife, Tinuke Ogungbe, and his babymama, Wunmi Ajiboye, were never close.
According to Ogungbe, the narrative circulating online about the two women being friends is false and originated from social media speculation.
The filmmaker explained that the rumour began after he impregnated someone outside wedlock, which allegedly angered a woman who admired him and had hoped to marry him.
He claimed the individual had previously supported some of his film projects financially and was upset when she learned about the pregnancy.
Ogungbe said the situation led the woman to spread the claim online that his wife and babymama were friends, a story that was later amplified by blogs and social media platforms.
The actor stressed that the claim was inaccurate, maintaining that the two women had never shared a friendship at any point.
Ogungbe’s comments come amid ongoing public interest in the personal lives of Nollywood celebrities, where social media speculation often fuels widespread rumours.
