Rwanda’s head coach, Adel Amrouche, has issued a strong warning to Bafana Bafana of South Africa, insisting his side will not go down without a fight in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter on Tuesday in Mbombela.
The Amavubi were eliminated from contention after a narrow 1–0 defeat to Benin Republic last Friday, but Amrouche maintains that pride and professionalism will drive his players to give their all.
“We are disappointed, yes, because we wanted to win that match (against Benin),” Amrouche told reporters ahead of the game.
“But this is football. What matters now is our reaction, and I can assure you, we will not go down easily against South Africa. We will fight for every ball.”
While Rwanda have nothing left to play for, South Africa must secure a victory to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
