President William Ruto has vowed that the Ukambani region will not remain in opposition.
Ruto, who kicked off his three-day working tour of the region on Wednesday, once again took a swipe at the opposition, accusing its leaders of lacking focus and strategy to address Kenyans’ needs.
Speaking in Makuni County, the head of state said Kenya needs leaders with a vision and commitment, and not what he termed a selfish, tribal and retrogressive politics.
President Ruto, who was accompanied by his deputy Kithure Kindiki and a host of Ukambani leaders, used the occasion to highlight his government’s development agenda in the region.
