Renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has opened up about her decision to keep her private life separate from her career, saying it helps her maintain balance and peace of mind.
In an interview with Jay OnAir, the mother of two said she is intentional about drawing a line between her personal happiness and public life as an entertainer.
Kadiri explained that while fame brings recognition, she values the joy and fulfilment that come from protecting her inner peace.
“The last thing I want to do as a person is to lose myself in the process of being an entertainer,” she said. “I need to be able to keep the wealth of happiness or fulfilment for myself whilst growing and building what I want to build. And I’m not going to let anybody sway me.”
Known for her talent and versatility in front of and behind the camera, the “Matilda” actress has long been admired for her low-profile lifestyle.
Despite her massive following, little is known about her family life, other than that she is married and has two children, born between 2019 and 2022.
Kadiri’s remarks reflect a growing trend among entertainers who choose to protect their privacy in an era of constant social media exposure.
